Tea parties and candle-light vigils

It’ll never be mentioned in the papers but I’m guessing the unspoken sentiment in the majority of Indian minds now is ‘Kill all Muslims. Let’s vote BJP.’ That includes our literate and illiterate population. The BJP, meanwhile have shown how low-down and pathetic they can get by planting front page solus ads in all major dailies trying to work this tragedy to their advantage. Just for that, I am never going to vote for the fucking BJP. And what the hell are all the editors up to? As everybody in advertising knows, there are very strict rules that ban liquor advertising and racy images and fuck knows what else. You cannot use rude language and you cannot make unsubstantiated claims. Remember the stupid storm in the tea cup over the dumb Milind Soman- Madhu Sapre Tuff shoes ads? People writing angry letters, protest grous, mahila mandals over a side view of a pair of shiny buttocks. How about this? Have you no conscience? I lost a friend in the shooting you bastard. Cheap, greedy, spineless fucks.

If I had the task of shaping public opinion in any way, my first task would be to diffuse this ‘Kill all Muslims. Vote for Modi’ garbage. It’s not a religion thing. It’s about the psychos within the religion.
I am also not inclined towards sitting down and holding a conference to find a solution to the issue, as all the world leaders seem to suggest. I am way too angry for that. These are radical people and they must be met with strong, bold and swift measures. Not some pansy-ass tea party.
It may be premature but there have been reports from reliable sources to indicate that these attacks have an Islamabad connection. If it is proved beyond doubt that this is sponsored by the Pakis, we should declare war. Move in quick, secure the nukes and raze the fucking country to the ground. Leave a huge smoking crater where it used to be. Target all military sectors. If a few innocent civilians have to perish, so be it. Bury the lot. It will save a million lives in the future. And if the Arabs have a problem with that, then come get some, Sheikh.

Next, take a page out of Lee Kuan Yew’s book. Probably the most underrated political leader the world has seen. A lot of Singaporeans resent his methods but they don’t realize what a visionary the man is. Singapore is a micro-version of India, of Europe, of the Middle East. Many religions, many cultures, some radical, and a lot of dumb people – a veritable powder keg. But no gunfights, no bomb blasts, no madmen running the streets with AK-47s. Why? Because in Singapore, at the first indication of any radical behaviour, you’d be hung upside down in jail drinking water through a straw in your nose. It’s not found favour with human rights activists and the hippies, but it works. We’d have no 9/11 or 7/7 or 28/11 if old man Lee were running the world. He’d catch every Bible preaching redneck zealot, every saffron robed Bajrang Dal leader and every psychotic bearded Mullah and have them drawn and quartered. Protestors can go sing John Lennon songs and drink tea. Or hold hands and maintain a candle-light vigil through the night so you can get your face on the television.

Given the precise military style of the assualt my theory is this is AQ setting up the Pakis.

Since they had they asses handed to them in Iraq their number #1 target now is de-stabilize Pakistan.

What better way than to pin this on the ISI so India open up a can of whop ass on them.

Remember India has general elections before May 09' so the pols will feel the pressure - esp. if AQ planted enough evidence to point the middle finger at the ISI - whose is up to their eyeballs with muzzzz fanatics anyways.

This was a very significant attack. From the numbers, to the days of violence for TV, to the target set and the timing - all the hallmarks of AQ.

securing nukes - easier said than done

I read that Zardari vowed to fight pak terrorist groups if the indian government can prove they're involved. right. cuz without evidence there is no reason to fight the 'terrorists' ! Moron.

Pakistan has been fighting its own war with the tribal Islamists in Waziristan for the past four years. And they've been victims of terrorism themselves, like the hotel bombing in Islamabad a few months ago. This occured precisely because Pakistan has been assisting the US against the Al Qaeda and the Taliban. They just don't seem to have the political momentum or strong military and intelligence to do anything significant. Islamic fundamentalism is a cancer... very hard to get rid of if it has "metastisized"

But then why do they get all pissy that U.S. and NATO forces tracked terrorists into Pakistan and attacked them? If I was Pakistan and was having that kind of trouble with islamic terrosits...bring the heat baby I'll take all the help we can get.

From what i see of what the Indian police are doing everything seems really random, confused, the soldiers arriving with guns but not knowing what to do. Chief of the ATS gets killed and then carjacked after walking in rambo-style to a building controlled by some terrorists. Pathetic.. So how would a situation like this be resolved, optimally?

it is true the police is for the most part, just a glorified protection and extortion racket. Clearly the people joining arent going to be very good at actually protecting and serving when they have to if they are in it because of political connections and money. But atleast the Army quite competent and is capable of cleaning up the mess, atleast thats what i get from the reports im seeing. I dont think the police force reflects on the rest of the country's armed forces.

wtf is a solus ad?

Champion Kickah said...

solus is the only display advertisement carried on the front page of the newspaper. traditionally, the most visible and hence the most expensive ad in the newspaper.

hmmm haven't seen the ads. (or read a paper for that matter.) i'd ask for a scan if there was enough value in it ...
what the fuck do they say?

Champion Kickah said...

today's a busy day, else i would have dug it out and uploaded a scan, but believe me, it's not worth the trouble. the gist of the ad was: "People are being gunned down in the streets. Mayhem in the country. What is the Congress doing? Vote BJP" With a big lotus symbol at the bottom. This, on the day when the nation wakes shell-shocked to the news of the hostage situation(s) in mumbai.

An assault on Pakistan would take place in a lawless tribal region where the Pakistani government exerts purely symbolic control, a region that exists as a haven for terrorists. It's rural, insular, and fiercely autonomous inhabitants are naturally suspicious of all foreigners, and angry at the US-backed Pakistani military intervention. It is doubtful that they would aid heavily armed US special forces traipsing through the region by sheltering them or supplying them with the intelligence needed to root out Al Qaeda militants. And it is even more doubtful that CIA teams could do it without them.

It would make little difference if the Pakistani military assisted – they are just as unwelcome as Americans in the tribal regions because they killed their own countrymen under American pressure. The Pakistani military would also not be an accurate source of information, given their lack of control over the tribal region, corruption, and pro-Islamist sympathies. However, even if such an operation succeeded in taking out a few terrorist leaders, the problem would not be solved. Although details are sketchy, it appears that well-armed Al Qaeda and Taliban guerrilla forces are ensconced within a network of safe houses and camps. Dislodging and eliminating them is not going to be accomplished by a few raids with special forces and armed drones.

Islamism is the most retarded form of government ever... these fuckers just don't realise that this isn't the middle ages anymore. Governments in the ME can and should be "islam-based" just like western countries are mostly "christian-based" but not to the extent of establishing sharia law as the ultimate law of the land.

Anonymous said...

That is just the way you think, because your not islamic

I think that there's a difference between "Islamic" and "Islamist" I think that many people who are islamic do not want an islamist government controlling them and imposing their law on everyone, and if they don't like it they subject them to some medieval-style torture and capital punishment. Pakistan does not have the most liberal, secular government but I'm sure they don't want to be ruled under sharia law.
